Pine Republic TimesState of Cleburne Downgraded to a Territory The Office of the Presidency of the Pine Republic announced the State of Cleburne, located in Cobb County Georgia, would be downgraded to a Territory. The Press Release from the President says the reason for this change is due to the lack of population and governmental structure. It also noted that the change would not affect the people of the State of Jackson and Hawthorne. A territorial government has not been named, so it is assumed that the Territory will fall under jurisdiction of the federal government. The Press Release comes after a visit to the territory by the President this week.
